Phoenix Wood

A modest size tree that grows up to 20 feet tall. These trees live very long, with the oldest known being 514 years old. It is very resistant to insect infestation, but suseptible to disease. It has a thick twisting trunk covered in burgundy bark with black wood inside. The branches are densely covered in bright orange and amber leaves year-round.

The tree is named for its flaming and burnt appearance.

In spring, the tree produces medium sized red flowers. In winter, it produces large triangular fruit.

The roots are shallow but widely spread, making it difficult to uproot.

This tree is very common and used in building things.
