Phoenix Wood fruit, flowers, and leaves

The fruit of the Phoenix Wood tree is triangular in shape and a very dull yellow in color. The inside is deep red. The flavor is citrus and sour. It is used to make juices, flavor dishes, and eaten on its own. It is referred to simply as Phoenix fruit.

The leaves are small, long, and generally narrow. They are colored with anorange-amber gradient year-round. Their adges are jagged.

The flowers of this tree are bright red and shaped like hanging bells.

There are two tiny inedible seeds located inside the center of each fruit.
